Maureen Ann Stuart née McArdle

Passed peacefully at the age of 80, on October 15, 2022 in St. Louis, Missouri surrounded by family.

Maureen is survived by her husband of 50 years, Gordon Vincent Stuart. Children Matthew Stuart, Bridget Coleman, Ben Stuart. Grandchildren Ian, Stephen, Tess, Elsa, Flynn and Parker and great-grandchild Everett.

Born May, 1942 in Newburgh, New York to parents Henry and Alice McArdle. Maureen was the eldest to brothers (late) Brian and Kevin. There she attended Mount St. Mary Academy and later attended Nazareth College in Rochester, receiving her teaching degree. A teacher for over 30 years, one of her most remarkable qualities is how much she truly loved children. She worked as a teacher in New York before moving to St. Louis. There she found the love of her life, Vince, also a teacher. They spent nearly all 50 years of their marriage in Richmond Heights, where they raised their family and attended Little Flower Parish.

Maureen was a wonderful friend to many, her lasting friendships were greatly important in her life. She had a brilliant smile that accompanied her lively personality and sense of humor. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday November 5th, from 10am - 12pm at Ambruster Chapel. 6633 Clayton Road, Richmond Heights.

Friends and Family are invited to attend Saturday morning mass at Little Flower Church at 8am, Saturday November 5th; to be followed by the celebration of life.
