Sister-in-law to Betty (Jack, deceased) and Pat (Kevin, deceased) Sullivan. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, grand-nieces and nephews, cousins, and many wonderful friends.

Mrs. Sullivan was an alumnus of Ladue High School, class of 1959, and a graduate of St. Louis Community College at Meramec. Margaret was a giant in real estate and education. As a young entrepreneur, Margaret forged a successful business in Real Estate specializing in rental, sales, appraisal, and title. She held licenses as a real estate agent, broker, and appraiser in Missouri. She taught real estate for decades at the St. Louis Community Colleges and mentored aspiring real estate agents, always going the extra mile with hands-on courthouse tours, and thorough appraisal and financial instruction. She always made time for her students and was much loved and appreciated as an instructor. Margaret was the education director of the National Association of Independent Fee Appraisers (NAIFA) and also served as Executive Vice President of NAIFA. She was also a hearing officer for the St. Louis County Board of Equalization. She contributed and served on many committees, including the Board of Directors at Brentwood Forest Condominiums.

Margaret volunteered her time generously. She was a multi-term President of the Immacolata Ladies Society, also volunteering for many other activities at Immacolata, including the Auction, sports program, and counting collections. She and Tim volunteered at Chaminade and Nerinx Hall and always attended her children’s and grandchildren’s sports, dance, theatre, music and scouting activities. Margaret had a passionate love for animals, particularly dogs and horses. She was a problem solver, willing to go to great extremes to help her family, friends, and even complete strangers who were down on their luck. She found joy in travel and made excursions to Ireland, Rome, Medjugorje, Canada, Hawaii, multiple cruises, and many road trips across the United States.

Margaret always loved to throw a party. She knew how to put out a spread whether it was Christmas Eve or July 4th. Some of her favorite events were held at the Brentwood Forest Clubhouse with eclectic musical performers. She will be sorely missed and left an impression on us all.
