Joan Marie Povinelli, nee Vorburger

Beloved Wife and Soulmate to  her husband Theodore John Povinelli of 66 years of Marriage, passed away peacefully in her sleep Wednesday, June 21St, 2023 at 90 years of age in St. Louis Missouri.

 Joan was a devoted and loving Mother to her six children: Christine Marie (Stephen Krebs) Theodore Angelo (Lizette Alvarez),  Mark Joseph, Elizabeth Ann, Daniel John, Sharon Therese (Mary Broll); her eight grandchildren: Marcus, Benjamin, Caroline, Clair, Eric, Isabella, Adriana, Caterina, Sam and Ben; and her three great-grandchildren: Mason, Hudson, and Ruby. Joan is survived by her beloved sisters Pat and Cathy, and her sisters and brothers-in- law Inez, and Robert, Grace, Lou, Jean, Gus, Josephine, and Suzanne.

 Joan was a beautiful vocalist, Church Music Director, School Music Teacher, song writer, Special Education Teacher, amazing baker and cook, strong athlete, devoted daughter of the Church, and a super industrious woman. Joan brought warmth and joy to everyone in her life.

 Services: a Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 1st, 2023, at 9:00 am, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church (7148 Forsyth Avenue, University City, 63130). Interment: Resurrection Cemetery (6901 MacKenzie Road, St. Louis, 63123)
