Alexander Peter Poulis

Alexander Peter Poulis, aged 92, peaceably passed away on June 4, 2023 in Las Vegas, Nevada.  Alex was born in St. Louis, Missouri on November 17, 1930 to the late Peter Alexander Poulis, Sr. and Helen (nee Stamatopoulos) Poulis.  Alex was preceded in death by his brother, Athanasios (Tom) Poulis in 2021.  Alex served in the US Air Force, owned AlexianCarpet Company in St. Louis, and worked for and was the Sales Manager of Cloud Carpet in Las Vegas for 40 years.  Alex enjoyed being in sales and management at Cloud Carpet, bowling, watching the St. Louis Cardinals, going to lunch with his friends, and was known among family and friends for his independent and unique spirit.  Alex is survived by his daughter, Ellie (Poulis) Wideman, son-in-law, Shawn Wideman, granddaughters, Mikaela and Marissa Wideman, godson, Tony Karagiannis, his in-laws, Gene and Bonnie Wideman, and his beloved friends and co-workers.  

SERVICES: Visitation from 9:00am to 11:00am and Funeral Services at 11:00am will be held on Friday, June 16, 2023 at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 4967 Forest Park Ave, St. Louis, MO 63108, with interment at St. Matthews Cemetery.
